Do I have to be 21+ to order JuneShine?

Yes. You will be ID’d when the delivery is made.

 

Do I have to be present to accept my delivery?

Someone who is at least 21 years old with a valid, non-expired ID must be available to receive a shipment. When providing us with a shipping address, please take this into account as all packages require ID verification and a signature. Carriers will not leave packages unattended. Please note that due to the current health crisis, carriers are being as flexible as possible and can verify IDs through glass windows or via a comfortable social distancing method.

How do I track my order?

You’ll get a shipping confirmation email as soon as your order ships with a tracking number. Same-day and 2-hour orders will get a text with tracking information as soon as your order is out for delivery.

 

What if my package does not arrive?

What do I do if I want to cancel or modify my order?

Because we process orders so quickly (especially for 2-hour delivery), we're unable to cancel or modify your order once it's placed.

QUESTIONS ABOUT SHIPPING +

When will my order ship?

Same-day and 2-hour: This will arrive the same day, if not within two hours, via courier delivery.

Standard shipping: We pack these orders in less than 24 hours and then shipping typically takes 1-3 business days, depending on where you live. So keep in mind that depending on the timing of your order, it can take up to four days total to arrive at your doorstep. Packages are not shipped out on the weekends, so orders placed Friday afternoon - Sunday will be packaged on Monday. We don't ship out on holidays.

When will my subscription be delivered each month? It will be delivered on the same day of the week (eg Tuesday, Wednesday) as your initial order. You can access your subscription by clicking on the link below and make any changes such as charge date, shipping address, and frequency of delivery. DO I QUALIFY FOR 2 HOUR DELIVERY?

Currently, our 2-hour delivery service is available in select San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Brooklyn, and Manhattan zip codes between 11a-6p PST for California and 1p-5p EST in NYC. When you checkout on our website you will be able to see if your zip code qualifies for this service in the shipping dropdown menu. NOTE: Even if the shipping address falls within these cities, 2-hour delivery is only available if our courier has the inventory in your cart. If they do not, your only option shown will be standard shipping.

QUESTIONS ABOUT PICKUP +

1. When will my to-go order be ready?

Your order will be ready 15 minutes after it is placed. Pickup hours are 11am-7pm daily. Orders must be received by 6:45 pm in order to be ready for same-day pickup. Orders not picked up by the close of each business day will be held for 24hrs from the time of the order.

2. What do I need to bring to pick up my order?

Your valid photo ID, such as passport or driver’s license, is required to pick up your JuneShine order. The name on the order must match your identification. No exceptions.

3. Can I pick up an order for someone else?

No, you can only pick up JuneShine that you have ordered. Absolutely no proxy pickups are allowed.

4. How much JuneShine can I order?

The sky is the limit.

5. Where will I pick up my JuneShine?

A Boochtender will meet you here to (safely) check your I.D. and deliver your order.

6. What if I don’t pickup my order?

Orders will be held for 24 hours. If the order is not picked up within 24 hours all cans will be restocked and refunded.

Growlers are non-refundable.

7. Can I order single cans?

No, but we are selling 16oz 4-packs, 12oz 6-packs, kegs and growlers.

8. Are you selling growler refills?

Yes, we are offering growler refills for 32oz and 64oz growlers.

Please wash your growler and cap with warm soapy water at home and thoroughly rinse it out before bringing it in to be filled.

9. What flavors are available?

Flavor availability varies. See specific location menus for available flavors.

ABOUT JUNESHINE +

What is JuneShine?
JuneShine is organic, sustainable, gluten-free, hard kombucha (6% ABV). We ferment our kombucha twice, once with our unique jun kombucha SCOBY (symbiotic culture of yeast and bacteria) to create a clean kombucha base, followed by a secondary fermentation with yeast and organic cane sugar. Flavored with organic juices and spices. Read more about how we got started.

How is JuneShine kombucha different?
Great question. JuneShine is different in a few ways:

  • We use Jun Kombucha: It’s smoother and less harsh than the kombucha you’re probably used to drinking because it’s made with green tea and honey, instead of black tea and sugar.

  • We use organic, real ingredients: We don’t put any ingredients you can’t pronounce in our kombucha. It’s completely organic, made with only green tea, honey, Jun kombucha, a touch of organic cane sugar, and flavored organic juices and spices for flavor. That’s it. No additives, no preservatives, no ‘natural’ flavors, no coloring, no rice syrup, no corn syrup.

  • Sustainability is built into our business model: We donate 1% of our annual revenue to sustainable non profit foundations certified by 1% For the Planet, and every day, we make choices that support the environment. We use sustainable packaging, we print on recycled materials, we upcycled an old brewery, and we treat the water we use before it goes back into the wastewater system. We’re not perfect, but we’re doing our best to make every choice one that’s better for our planet. We also support our ambassador community of environmentalists and adventurers who each have their own personal sustainability initiatives.

Do you ship to other states?
Due to alcohol regulations, we can only accept online orders for delivery in California and Nevada. We're working on this, though!

 

How can I take JuneShine home with me?
If you live in CA, you can order online and have it shipped to you. We can’t ship outside of CA, so you have to buy it either in our tasting rooms or in a place that sells JuneShine.

 

I’m a restaurant/bar/liquor store/grocery store and want to sell JuneShine. Who do I contact about sourcing?

What’s in JuneShine?
All of our flavors have a base of green tea, honey, cane sugar, and Jun kombucha. Then we add organic juices and spices to create the flavors. No additives, no preservatives, no coloring, no pesticides, no GMOs, no corn syrup, no rice syrup.

Is your kombucha vegan?
It depends on how you define vegan. We use honey, so for some vegans, our product isn’t vegan-friendly. But most vegans love JuneShine! Plus, the honey we use comes from one of the most sustainable and regenerative producers, so bee populations are never harmed for our product.

 

Do you add sugars to your kombucha?
We use a combination of organic honey and organic cane sugar. Most of the sugar is taken up by the yeast and turned into alcohol, which is how we get our kombucha to 6% ABV. The residual sugar content in our core products ranges from 3 - 7 g in a 12 oz serving–very low for any beverage, let alone one with alcohol.

 

What is the ABV %?
All of our flavors are 6% ABV.

 

Does the product have to be kept cold?
Yes, it should be kept cool (around 40F). Our products are unpasteurized on purpose to keep our live cultures alive. If left at room temperature or above for too long (usually more than a couple days), there is a potential for our kombucha to continue fermenting, increasing the ABV and changing the flavor. Sometimes this is kind of cool because you get a different take on our flavors, but it can also cause undesired acidity and over-carbonation. So keep it refrigerate and enjoy it the way our brewers intend for it to taste! If a can feels inflated or swollen, it’s likely past its prime.

For sure. Email us at cheers@juneshine.co. When we’re swamped, it might take us a couple days to respond–so plan ahead!

My friends and I have a big group–can we make a reservation at a tasting room?
Typically there’s more than enough room for groups, but if you’ve got more than 25 people, give us a heads up you’re coming. Email alex@juneshine.co to reserve spots for big groups.

Will JuneShine keep me from being hungover?
We can’t make any promises here since it’s still alcohol, but most people do feel better the next day. JuneShine has waaaay less sugar (3-7 g per 12 oz serving on average, depending on flavor) and none of the other bad stuff most alcoholic drinks contain: No additives, no preservatives, no coloring, no pesticides, no GMOs, no corn syrup, no rice syrup. But it’s still alcohol! We encourage everyone to drink mindfully.
